It looks promising ...

Gloria is showing the beginning signs of pregnancy.  Although it is too early to tell for sure -- I am optimistic.  I will take her in for an ultrasound in a week or two.  In the mean time here are a few pictures from her show career.  She has won a Herding Group 1 and a Group 3 with very limited showing.  This was all before she turned two years old.  Lately we have been focusing on getting her Rally Novice title.  Unfortunately motherhood got in the way before we completed the title.  I hope to have her out next Spring to finish it off.

New addition...

I flew to Pennsylvania this past weekend to attend the dog show at York, PA.  I was only an observer as my primary reason to attend was to see a litter of puppies sired by "Dudley" -- GCH Puddleduck Solas Smoke on the Water.  Dudley caught my eye at the 2014 National Specialty and I really liked his pedigree.  After seeing the litter - I had to come back to Arkansas with a souvenir.  Introducing Sanddigger First Time's a Charm.  Call name Charm.

Bad news / Good news

First the bad news Willow didn't have any puppies.  We were so looking forward to this litter -- but, it wasn't meant to be.  I thought when we bred her it may have been a little bit early.  However we had limited options as the optimal breeding date was on a Sunday.  We will try again next time she comes into season later in the Spring.

The good news is that Gloria won Best of Breed in Des Moines Iowa at the January shows.  This gave her more than enough points to earn the title of Grand Champion.  This girl continues to amaze me.  She has such a wonderful personality and she is wicked smart to boot.  We have big plans for her in 2015.  Motherhood is on the agenda as well as a try at the Agility ring.
