It is almost puppy time ...............

We are expecting a litter the first week of September.  We have bred the lovely Willow to the handsome Sugar Daddy.  Both Willow (Giants Dance Poinciana) and Daddy (GCH Boss Is Riverside Sugar Daddy) have been health tested.

Here is a link to the pedigree of the puppies.

Puppies from similar breeding have excellent temperment and confirmation.  If you have interest in a puppy feel free to contact me at cardiclarke@gmail.com.

Bad news / Good news

First the bad news Willow didn't have any puppies.  We were so looking forward to this litter -- but, it wasn't meant to be.  I thought when we bred her it may have been a little bit early.  However we had limited options as the optimal breeding date was on a Sunday.  We will try again next time she comes into season later in the Spring.

The good news is that Gloria won Best of Breed in Des Moines Iowa at the January shows.  This gave her more than enough points to earn the title of Grand Champion.  This girl continues to amaze me.  She has such a wonderful personality and she is wicked smart to boot.  We have big plans for her in 2015.  Motherhood is on the agenda as well as a try at the Agility ring.

Big news ....

We bred our girl Willow (Giants Dance Poinciana) to the handsome Milo.  If all goes well we should have puppies in early February.  This litter could provide us with a rainbow of colors -- brindle, black and white and red.  Here are a couple of pictures of Willow taken in September.

Pictures ... and more pictures

We had a beautiful day here in NW Arkansas.  It was uncharacteristically warm and sunny for January.  My wonderful daughter agreed to be photographer while I stacked the dogs for pictures.

This is Gideon -- the boy is growing up.  I can't wait to get him into the show ring early next month.

This is Pandora -- litter sister of the soon to be famous Leroy (see last post for pictures of Leroy).  She is quite a happy girl and is constantly wagging her tail.  As a result her tail looks "stubby" in the picture as I am waving a piece of cheese in front her.  Cheese makes her very happy!

This is Sadie (Notz G Dance Sadie Girl) she is by (CH Phi Vestavia Nott a Gamble X Sisterwood's La Dolce Vida).  I co-own her with Sharon Nottingham.  We will be breeding her in early Spring.  I will post details once we figure them out.  Here is a link to her pedigree:

And last but not least here is our baby Willow.  She is still difficult to stack -- so the pictures don't show her off as nicely as I think she really is.  She is not a flashy girl but she has so many attributes that I really like.  She will be making her show ring debut next month.

Quick ..... take a picture

Although Willow is 4 months old I have yet to take a decent picture of her.  She is definitely a "live wire" and won't stand still long enough to get a good shot.  Yesterday I cajoled my wife into attempting to stack her while I took the pictures.  After several minutes and many attempts later the pictures below are what we ended up with.  Although the pictures are less than perfect --- they are the best we have taken to date.  Willow is a sweet girl and gets along with everyone.  It will be fun to see how she turns out.

Updates on the pups

It is been so hot here in NW Arkansas this summer have not felt like doing to much dog stuff.  However it cooled down a little this weekend so took the opportunity to snap some pictures of the pups.  Here is a picture of Gideon (Davenitch Valiant Warrior of Giants Dance).  This puppy is turning out quite nice -- with incredible bone and movement --not to mention those huge Cardi ears !  We have high hopes for this guy.

In addition, we have a new puppy living here at Giants Dance.  Meet Willow (Giants Dance Poinciana)--who is a daughter of our beautiful red girl Fynn (CH Notzmo-Somerset Grand Finale) and Dice (CH Phi Vestavia Nott A Gamble).  This is the same breeding that produced our up and comer Pandora.  Willow  was quite uncooperative during the photo shoot --- but we did manage to this picture of her cute face.  She is 10 weeks old.
